马里兰大学传出教授不通人情的新闻。

美国马里兰大学（the University of Maryland）行销系大三学生Saige Kratenstein的父亲因为新冠肺炎[/b]过世，请求财政学教授宽限她几天交作业的时间，却得到「试着准时交作业」（“try to get it done on time”）的冷血回应，让她很难过，因为其他科的教授都同意让她延后交作业。

NBC新闻报导，该名教授要求她准时交作业，表示这样会比较好，还说自己对所有处于困境的学生都一视同仁。教授还告诉她，专心写作业可以让她分心不要想太多，让她觉得很受伤。
