Usually, if it is a one-time event and out of goodwill, I tend to forgive and forget, especially if it is my close friend. But I have long since broken off friendship with those who have been making fun of me because of my ancestors/cultural background. I don't need friends like that. Here are some words that may cause Chinese people to dislike:

Ask them to make sushi for you.

Praise the great products made by Samsung.

Ask them if they know kung fu. Make Bruce Lee's voice in case they don't understand you. Or even if they know. Don't forget the signature karate moves!

Prove to them that you are disappointed with the Chinese people and tell them that you have a "friend" who is Vietnamese.

What's the big deal with Japan's invasion of China? "Let bygones be bygones..." This is extremely wrong in understanding historical issues, and it belongs to persuading people to be magnanimous and strike with lightning.

What do you mean by hurting the feelings of Chinese people? "Come on, you are a big country, you should accept it

As a Chinese, I enjoy following the cultural wisdom that has been passed down. I forgot which idiom this is, but the story goes like this:

There was once a poor village where people began to become wealthy through hard work and some luck. One day, the villagers wanted to raise money to build a huge phoenix statue in the center of the town to celebrate their achievements. The village chief invited the most famous carpenter in China to help them carve a statue.

When he arrived, the villagers were full of praise for him, holding a grand welcome party for him and preparing such a grand feast, hoping that he could create more beautiful artworks than he had ever done.

The next day, the carpenter began his work. The villagers were very curious, so everyone came out to see him. He stood around the round wood that was about to become a statue, thinking and thinking, without doing anything. The villagers quickly became impatient and began to rumor that he was a fraud.

After standing there for a few days, he finally started working; Chisel a bit here and saw a bit there. The villagers came to see him with more curiosity, but soon began to mock him: "What are you doing there?" What we want is a phoenix, not a chicken Are you sure it's not from the inside out? "" Now I know what an ugly phoenix looks like

He ignored them and continued to work. As he approached the final statue, people became quieter and the shouts of mockery quickly turned into praise.

Finally, after the completion of the statue, the villagers were delighted and inspired by such a beautiful creature, adding color to their scenery. They were full of awe at this magnificent creature, and they could hardly understand how it came to this world; They quickly realized how shameful it was to mock someone who could perform such an astonishing feat.

The moral of this story:

1) Focus on what you do and ignore what others say, because in the end, your actions and achievements will be louder than words.

2) Don't draw conclusions too quickly before fully understanding something from various perspectives of the past, present, and future.

3) If you want to carve a phoenix statue, make sure it looks like an ugly chicken flipped over in some places.

I have had an interesting experience recently. During a recruitment event, I talked to engineering students at New York University and looked at too many resumes that I couldn't remember.

I noticed two types of applicants. A type of person will confidently step forward, hand me their resume, and then start a minute long discourse about their qualifications, career goals, and skills. Another type of person lingers around the table until everyone else has left, making exploratory eye contact and not saying too much except for answering questions about resumes.

The second type of students are all Chinese students. They are very intelligent and qualified, but because they are too shy, it is difficult to get to know them and establish connections.

Most children who grow up in China have not received self maintenance education in a professional environment. Therefore, it is easier to develop shy and overly quiet behavior in unfamiliar environments. I noticed that I occasionally fall into this pattern.

This is not a problem in China because such behavior is normal, but in the United States, people are expected to stick to their claims. Therefore, Chinese people in the United States are often seen as weak and easily rejected. I think this is the core reason why Chinese people are considered vulnerable to attack.

Chinese people living in the United States can help themselves by expressing their views in a calm and diplomatic manner. In the United States, open and constructive dissent and self-expression are highly valued. Displaying these qualities will increase the credibility of individuals and Chinese Americans as a group.

When I first saw this question, my reaction was, "What?" Isn't that very obvious? A part of your inner self has rotted, but you don't know, so you flaunt yourself without realizing how ugly and smelly you are

Do you have an accent? If it's based on accent, I think some of them are not malicious. When our foreign friends speak Chinese with accents, we sometimes laugh because we find it very cute (they laugh with us).

Appearance? If it's because of their Asian appearance, may they need to expand their definition of beauty and learn about the beauty of differences? Of course, this is their own aesthetic, they can do anything. So, if they don't want to change it, at least they need to learn some manners. It is beneficial for everyone.

Race? If this is based on their prejudice against China, I don't know, maybe it's generalization? What I mean is that it is possible that he/she has been harmed by a Chinese person, or even just a Chinese person, and now begins to hate the entire race. Or should we thank some Western media for this? They are always good at depicting clich é s like this, but this is true.

Sometimes obstacles (such as cultural barriers) can cause misunderstandings. Of course, not everyone is malicious. A heart to heart conversation may be helpful.

But if someone intentionally insults others with this kind of joke, okay, what can I say? Values are very important. Anti racism is a marathon for humanity. So, if you're tired of correcting him, roll your eyes at him, ignore him, and let him continue his clown performance. Don't waste time.

Oh, actually I partially agree with Yeyati Nafrey's viewpoint. People always like to provoke or make fun of others, which is a matter of personal quality and value, that's all.
